Growing up in the family business of medical device manufacturing, Melissa Fontes has experience in all facets of the industry including manufacturing, operations and ultimately working in executive management positions.
As President of Passy-Muir, Melissa built a successful team of RA/QA, operation specialists, clinical technicians, and executive management professionals and was responsible for production and regulatory compliance. She successfully ran this company for over 5 years and then moved on to focus exclusively on A&M; Biomedical, which she founded in 1994.
As President of A&M; Biomedical, Melissa again developed a knowledgeable and experienced team that share her commitment in building quality into every stage of device manufacturing process. Melissa’s experience in the medical industry, both contract manufacturing and devices, provides a deep understanding of the regulatory responsibilities and liabilities faced by device makers. This experience has equipped A&M; Biomedical to create production solutions that are not only efficient, but also meet or exceed the regulatory and quality requirements for our customers.
In 1996, Melissa completed her undergraduate program with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy from Lewis & Clark College. She later continued her education, earning a Juris Doctorate from Columbia University School of Law in 2000.
